BRADY ART FESTIVAL
the Art and Soul of Tulsa
Registration Form - Booth Map - Festival Layout - articipating Artists / Map and Booth Numbers - Band Schedule
Dear Artists:
The Brady Arts District is quickly becoming a major center for art in Tulsa, if not THE art center of Tulsa. Joining such iconic Tulsa landmarks as the Brady Theater and Cains Ballroom, over the past decade many galleries, shops, restaurants, clubs and music venues have opened in the Brady District. Recently, Living Arts moved to the area. The plan is in the works, and construction underway, for the Philbrook Museum collection of Eugene Adkins and Tulsa Arts and Humanities Council building, as well as the new Channel Six studios. The square block where Central Freight yard is located will be raised and become a city park. So it seems only logical, to produce an “art event” in an “arts district”. Therefore, Local Art Matters has decided to produce their Spring Art Show featuring work by local/Oklahoma Artists, in the Brady Arts District.
In collaboration with the Brady Business Association, we would like to invite you to participate in the first annual “Art and Soul of Tulsa” show. It will be a three-day art show/event taking place on Brady Street between Boulder and Boston, and Main Street between Brady and Cameron, May 14, 15, and 16. Along with visual artists, we will also be hosting a music stage, and, a performance/dance/spoken word stage. The Art Car Parade is scheduled for Saturday, and we have laid out the booths so that the cars can travel through the show, from Boston to Brady.
To simplify the process and avoid problems with PayPal in the past, we require you to register by mail only this year, with a check as payment - Form Here. Due to last minute complications of booth layout and duplications in similar media being next door to each other, we are going to assign spaces this year. If you have a request, such as whom you would like as a neighbor, which way your booth needs to face (for lighting), or which street/general area you would specifically like to be placed, we can accommodate you on that. The booths will generally be laid out FROM the center of the show at Main and Brady towards the outside limits, on a first come basis dated by postmark. We hope you will join us for this event, because Local Art Matters.
Sincerely,
Frank Campbell

The Local Art Matters’ committee that is producing the spring art show, has renamed the event
